[22-Nov-2021] On Saturday the 27th of November Bits and Pieces 100% local market will be back for the 12th annual edition of the event to be held at Movie Towne’s Banquet & Conference Centre, Port of Spain. The event will feature some of Trinidad’s top artisans and producers in what promises to be a one stop shop for all your Christmas shopping with the added benefit of supporting a 100% local marketplace.
The Bits and Pieces market has been in existence for over 12 years. boasting the largest all local market in Trinidad and Tobago. Featuring over 100 local vendors with selling everything from: Local cuisine to take away, sweets, cookie calendars, bottle preserves, Christmas cookies, jewellery, soaps and candles, stained glass, leather goods, wind chimes, fine art, sculptures, photography, mosaics, local authors, fashion designers, wooden furniture and accessories.
Each potential vendor is specially selected and vetted to ensure that shoppers find the highest quality items they won’t get anywhere else. This pain staking process though arduous ensures the highest quality of items as well as guarantees that vendors get exclusivity in their category.
For years the Bits and Pieces Local market has been a frontrunner in the efforts to expand our local creator and producers industry, when asked about her motivations for such massive undertaking event coordinator Vanessa Dalla Costa said “ <insert quote here”>
Dalla Costa added this year’s event will follow all COVID-19 regulations and protocols. Temperature checks will be done at the door and all patrons must wear masks and sanitise on entry. Security personnel will be on hand to ensure all protocols are followed. Movie Towne staff will also be on hand to assist. To avoid any lines building up, patrons will be encouraged to circulate across the three floors.
