[22-Oct-21 ], Port of Spain, TRINIDAD.

Dentist Shenilee Hazell of SmileInn dental clinic will be hosting a non-profit art exhibition “In Celebration of Colour” On November 1st 2021, at 24 Mucurapo Road St James. Proceeds from the exhibition are split between providing art supplies for kids in orphanages, with the rest going to the artist. Featuring a unique blend of artforms from a diverse group of artists, this exhibition hopes to be a beacon of hope for kids, all through art.

“In Celebration of Colour” will be the third and final exhibition of 2021. The first show “Toute Bagai: A Carnival Exhibition” was held in February 2021, which explored the impact of carnival in Trinidad & Tobago. The second exhibition “Connections, The Art Of Self Care” is currently open until the end of October and their 3d and final show for 2021 “In Celebration of colour” is slated to begin on November 1st 2021 runs until Mid-December.

The show aims to highlight the use of colour by artists to convey ideas, express emotions, depict movement, illustrate mood and more. The exhibition which exclusively features local artists can be a trailblazer in promoting and expanding the art scene in Trinidad & Tobago. SmileInn Cultures Founder Dr Shenilee Hazell spoke to its positive impact on the featured artists < “insert quote here.”>
In addition to artist exposure the biggest motivation behind the SmileInn initiative is to provide assistance to children in orphanages around the country. Undertaking dental education initiative Dr. Hazell noted the kids had were depressed and had very little to smile about and this brought on a burning desire to provide some aid for these kids in any way she could she stated <“Insert quote here.”>

So far over $20,000 has been raised in art supplies for the kids and while Dr Hazell is proud of what she has achieved, she knows there is still a long way to go to reach her goal < “Insert quote here.”>

We are striving to provide assistance to children in orphanages and 30% of all proceeds go directly to the kids. The main purpose of this coverage will be to promote the benefits to the children as well as local artists and the overall artistry in Trinidad and Tobago.
